Καλοκαιρινά Ραντεβού (=Summer Dates) - Δυτικές Συνοικίες (Guitar Cover by SolidSnake)

Hello again this is Solid Snake and I'm back with a new cover.. only this time it's different.. :P

I'm testing some solo techniques (yeah, I've started getting into that too..) and I've picked this song to test them. It's a Greek rock song that mainly friends from Greece will understand it but rock is international so everyone could enjoy. It's called "Καλοκαιρινά Ραντεβού" in Greek and it translates to "Summer Dates" in English by a band called "Δυτικές Συνοικίες" that means something like "West Sides" in English. Either way, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did while playing it!

Wonderwall - Oasis - Cover by SolidSnake & my Band

Hello again everyone, the lonesome guitarist strikes back (though not so lonesome anymore.. lol). Just yesterday a couple of friends and I assembled at a local studio and rehearsed a couple of songs. We mostly play for fun and we only meet every 4-5 months. So it was great to reunite and have some music based fun.

We used a handycam to record this and the lighting was bad so I'm sorry for the low quality video and audio. None of us is a pro musician and we only play for fun so it's not great but feel free to enjoy what we accomplished here.

Welcome To Paradise - Green Day - Guitar Cover By Solid Snake

Hello again, this is Solid Snake and I'm back with a new cover of a song by one of my favorite bands! It's punk style and although it's somewhat easy, it is very exciting to play. So I got down to it and decided to record it for my blog, the Lonesome Guitarist.

Hello everyone, this is Solid Snake and it feels good to be back! Only this time, I decided to play something different from a legendary guitarist everyone knows. When somebody asks you who is the best guitarist in the world, one of the first names that crosses your mind is definitely the name "Slash".

I love his playing, consider it very difficult for me, his solos are some of my favorites and I hope that one day I'll get to play even close to the way he does. The song I decided to cover is one of his latest ones during his solo career and he's featuring Andrew Stockdale with his great vocals.

As you probably know by now, I'm no expert guitarist and maybe this is a little too early for me to try and cover such an awesome song by such an awesome artist, but I decided to give it a try no matter how bad it will turn out.  And it seems that the actual result is bearable if not ok! My equipment details is there in the video's description in case you'd like to check it out.

Can't Stop - Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Guitar Cover

Here I am again everyone.. I'm back with a new cover of a famous song by a famous band we all like. As the title says, recently I decided to make a cover of the song "Can't Stop" by Red Hot Chilli Peppers and it came out pretty well, I can say. Nobody said perfect but it's a nice attempt.

After a few recording attempts, I picked the best one for you and uploaded it on my youtube channel. Feel free to check it out and comment.

It's my life - Bon Jovi - Guitar Cover

Hello everyone, this is Solid Snake and I'm back with something completely different. It's been a long time now, since I've started this blog and I still haven't shown you some video of me strumming.. have I? I think it's time to correct that..

After setting up my youtube channel which goes by the name of SnakedTube I added my first youtube video.. It's me covering the song "It's my life" by Bon Jovi, on my guitar. Well it was the first time I tried playing the song, and after figuring out what some proper chords would be, I started playing and recording it. It took me about 5-6 full recordings of the song to get the first complete one that somehow satisfied me and I decided to keep and publish it on my youtube channel. It went not excellent but well.

I most likely didn't use the exact chords that Bon Jovi do, but it sounds pretty nice like that. Think of it as my personal touch on the song. I hope you like it.

As for the equipment I've used, just like is included in the video description, it's my Gibson Les Paul Studio Worn Brown, on my Line 6 Spider IV 75W and it's captured on a Kodak Zi8 1080p @ 30 Fps. I hope you like it.

Hey there everyone.. it's been some time now since my last post.. but here I am, ready to post a new song of mine! Days are passing bye, time stands still sometimes giving me all the inspiration I need to write something..

So, while writing this song.. I had in mind the song "Bleed it out" by Linkin Park, I wanted to write something that sounds like it. One day I came up with the music, and another one when I was feeling inspired (and a bit angry yeah..), I added the lyrics. And really loved the result! I hope you'll like it too.

It's called "Love and Madness", two words that their meaning seems so identical that sometimes and it's hard to separate the one from the other. It's as if they become one in my head and so I decided to express it in this song. Maybe I'll record it and upload it somewhere, someday for you to actually listen to it. Here we go...
